What do you do on a cold, rainy Saturday?

You play hide and seek.

And then refuse to come out from under the table and make mommy and daddy play under the table too. He is actually saying "two ones"...see his two fingers.

Kamdin even played hide and seek with us!

Ethan's animal collection...a recent fascination that has led to a new animal anytime we go to Wal-Mart.

Total destruction coming to the animal safari.

Enough playing, now it is time for some housework. Ethan helped Daddy change some light bulbs.

Ethan nor Daddy needed to use a stool to reach this one.

You always test your work...

And give high fives when it is done!

There is always some extra time for music.

Since he helped daddy with the light bulbs, he insisted on helping mommy with the laundry.

Sometimes helping creates more work, but it makes for cute pictures!

Easter Weekend

We had a busy weekend. On Friday, Ethan and I went to Fox's Tree Farm. He got to plant a flower, ride a horse, and hold a baby rabbit. He had a blast. Then we went to Greenville for the weekend. On Saturday, we went to an easter egg hunt at Michelin with Brian's family. There were more eggs than you could ever imagine. On top of all this, Ethan got Easter baskets from Memaw and Pepaw, Aunt Valerie and Uncle Neal, and Granma and Granpa. So, we have plenty of candy in our house and some new fun toys. Here are some pictures of our travels.

This is my absolute favorite. He sat patiently on a log in line to hold the baby rabbit. As you can tell by his expression, it was worth the wait!

He had to be like the big kids and climb the tree.

Ethan is all dressed up to go to Pepaw's church in his new outfit that Memaw picked out for him. Isn't he handsome?

Remember the 80's?

This past weekend Brian and I went to Charleston for my friend's 30th birthday party. We had a wonderful child free weekend thanks to Memaw, Pepaw, Aunt Valerie, and Uncle Neal who traded shifts b/t Friday and Sunday.

Kelly Stone (a friend from high school) decided to have an 80's theme party since we technically grew up in that decade. So, we pulled out the bad jewelry, the crimper, bad makeup and big hair. Below are pictures from the weekend including 2 cute ones of Ethan on the morning we left. Enjoy!

Oh, also while we were in town I got to visit the Read Family. To refresh your memory, this is the family I lived with (for a while) and was nanny to during college. They are all grown up now. It definitely made me feel old.

Ethan saying cheese

Is he not the cutest little boy in the world?

Alexander Read - he was 18 months when I started babysitting him

Heyward Read - he was in kindergarten when i started babysitting him and he will be in high school next school year

Virginia Read - I lived with the Read's while Jane was pregnant with Virginia and Brian and I were engaged. She was 9 months old at our wedding.

Alicia and Kelly getting the house ready for the party

After the decorations were done and before the party, Kelly had to turn in her cruiser. She got a position as a Detective in missing persons/juvenille. She starts next Monday the 10th; however, after 5 years with her car, we had to take one sentimental picture.

Alicia and Kelly in the middle with a few other of Kelly's friends

You can't tell very well in this picture, but Brian has on a pink shirt.

Kelly and her "honeybun" Angus (they have been dating 9 months, so far - I approve)

Kelly doesn't look 30, does she? OR maybe she had a really great photographer!! Just kidding Kel, you still look great!

Just Information - No pics

Yes, this is an informational post only. Brian has a new job! He interviewed for a position back in January that he really wanted, but we never heard back. Well last week (2 days after I started my new job), he got a call and an offer. So, that means he will no longer be able to keep Ethan the 3 afternoons I am working. Therefore, we have hired a babysitter. Her name is Meghan and she started yesterday. She is wonderful. Ethan loves her already and was upset when we got home and she had to leave last night. She will be watching him on Mondays and Tuesdays/Thursdays after preschool. So..............lots of changes at the Parsons' house. But all good! Please keep us all in your prayers as we adjust to everything.

We were in Charleston this past weekend for a friend's 30th birthday. I will have pictures up shortly!
