Ethan's Birthday

On this very day three years ago, Brian and I woke up at 5:30 am, put all our things in the car, and headed to Summerville Medical Center. We reported promptly at 6:30 am, as the doctor instructed, and met our fabulous nurse! The protocin was started at 8:00 am, the epideral came at 2:30, and Ethan arrived at 8:20 pm. It was a long day, but worth it to meet our son! Ethan Thomas Parsons was 7 lbs. 9 oz. and 20 1/2 inches long. Three years later he is 30 lbs. and 36 1/2 inches tall. Wow, does the time fly!

Here are some pictures from Ethan's birthday party on Saturday. He had a great time with friends and family.
Thank you to all his friends (Calvin, Nick, Peyton, Nolan, Tyler, and Nathan) for coming to his party and for the wonderful gifts! He loved them all:-) Also, thank you to Memaw, Pepaw, Granma, Granpa, Aunt Valerie, Uncle Neal, and Ms. Kelly.

Weekend festivities

This weekend was a fun-filled weekend of family, friends, candy, and lots of fun.

Ethan as "Thomas the Tank Engine"

Ethan and his friends from school. As you can see, Ethan would only wear his hat.
Friday night we went to the festival at my parents church. Again, Ethan would only wear his hat, but had lots of fun. (me, Ethan, and Pepaw)

Saturday morning I went to a baby shower for a friend from high school. I got to see Carly and her precious boy Davis.

While I visited with high school friends, Ethan got to hang out with his grandparents and two of his cousins. Ethan, Jake, and Sean had a blast!

On Sunday, he had to read books with Memaw and Pepaw before we could leave.

Girls Weekend in Savannah

This past weekend I went to Savannah with two of my dearest friends, Kelly and Arlyn. We had an absolute blast! We stayed at the Olde Harbour Inn (which is a bed & breakfast) right on East River Street. Thanks to my fabulous hubby for solo parenting for a couple of days!

You can't have a girls weekend without a trip to the spa! So much fun!

We had a great time! Savannah is a beautiful city with lots to do. However, the best part was just hanging out with friends without hearing "mommy" every 5 seconds:-)
